Thinking of Sunshine...

In a few weeks we're taking a trip. A trip to the other side of the world. A trip to a place where, right now, it's summer. We are, to say the least, excited. So here's a little summer balminess in the form of a spring/summer 2012 sneak peek from b.young. It's going to be a bright summer...oranges and pinks all over the place! Which is just as well because apparently 'Tangerine Tango' is Pantone's colour of the year!
We are not too excited, however, about travelling for 24 hours with an 8 month old baby who loves his routine and will be between nutritional stages...any tips will be gratefully received!

  1. Ask for the seats behind the steward's station, on many planes these sections can have clip on beds for babies so they can sleep during the flight. My sister flies for 24 hours with 2 babies and she swears by them. Plus she says keep the routine exactly the same as normal. Good luck.

I take it you are going to Oz? I am just back from there, I am very jealous!

  2. Yep I agree! We did the journey with our two kids when they were younger and kept their routine as close as possible... it worked a treat and they travelled well. We took all their own food on board with us and fed them when it was time, changed them into their pj's and put them to sleep at their normal bedtime. They ate and slept most of the way! My suggestions for take off and landing to equalise their ears would be anything they can suck on; a dummy, bottle etc... the blocked ears are very painful for them apparently. Good Luck!
