Resin-ate

My uber-creative sister-in-law, in the 'world down under', introduced me to some pretty awesome stuff from Dinosaur Designs this week So, in turn, I am sharing them with your lucky selves.
I never get bored of resin. I think it's the smooth-but-matt texture that makes it so tactile...and those colours are just so milky sweet. The new and old collections are all worth a look, here.
As you may know, if you follow me on twitter, it was my birthday on Saturday and said 'SIL' sent me this awesome message via Instagram. Foooolly seeeck maayte...x
You may be able to tell from the images, that I also received a new toy; a Wacom Bamboo, from the husband, son and dog! So expect more of my handwriting splattered all over images, á la the ones above! I did well!

Minty Fresh

I don't know about you but I'm not prepared to let go of summer just yet. I'm holding out for an Indian summer so I'm keeping it fresh with accents of mint.

Beady Beauties

Check out this jewellery by Alyson Fox, an Austin, Texas-based maker, sculptor, designer, photographer, artist... it seems there's very little she can't do. My favourite is the cobalt blue geometry pendant...I never get bored of that colour! Oh, and the awesome pattern is an excerpt from a print of hers which is sold out everywhere...obviously.

Something fishy...

I 'stopped by' Atlantis Dry Goods to see if the amazing bronze beetle pendants were still available and found a little something fishy...in bronze. I love these. Especially the tentacle.
P.S. The beetles are still available and as beautiful as ever.

Creepy Crawlies

As it gets colder outside the bugs and beasties come inside...and it's not just the live ones. Beetles, dragonflys, buterflys and spiders have been released onto jewellery, fabrics, wallpaper and ceramics.
Here's a round up of some of my favourite bits and pieces...

1. Natural History Entomology Notebook 2. Bottega Veneta clutch bag 3. Timorous Beasties Digital Fabric 4. Fired Earth wall tile 5. John Derian crystal dome paperweight 6. Atlantis Home beetle jewellery
I can't handle the live ones...even the prettiest of butterflies. I blame the one that landed on my shoulder when I was eight years old at Rouken Glen Butterfly Kingdom. I'll never forgive you...with your creepy tentacles, spindly legs and ability to fly erratically at any given moment...bleeeeuuuurgh...

Whiter shade of cream...

In an attempt to overcome my recent obsession with all things white and cream, i'd like to get a few cravings out of my system...the cream tea nail varnish is the only thing here that i actually own (and LOVE). The rest...I crave...especially those shooooooes...
