Dutch architects SeARCH and CMA designed this hillside gem with the environment in mind. Carved into the hillside near Vals (home to Therme Vals Hotel and Spa - another architectural gem) in Switzerland, you enter Villa Vals via an underground passage from an unassuming barn...lucky because you could miss that beautiful curved façade if you were skiing overhead. The light-flooded concrete interior features natural stone steps, and an abundance of Dutch design including the neon colour pops from Scholten & Baijings as well as those dining chairs and all that lighting. The best bit is you can stay there!

Textured Ceramics
Two of my favourite things in one...texture and ceramics. Incredible work by Lenneke Wispelwey from The Netherlands. The pretty pastel colours are hard to resist and the chunky textured patterns make the pieces ultra tactile.

The new collection features this piece, titled, "for goodness sake" by Venderbosch & Wispelwey. A collaboration between Lenneke and Inge Venderbosch; an amazing Saké carafe with cups lined with gold...

Lute Suites, Amstel
Peter Lute is a chef...a very creative and inventive chef with an eye for design. He opened a restaurant in Ouderkerk, a village on the outskirts of Amsterdam, and quickly expanded to include boardrooms and then seven freestanding suites; three-level gabled cottages, each with kitchenette and living room, all facing the Amstel River.
He hired Marcel Wanders as the designer and the results show his commitment
to surprise, delight, and elicit strong emotional response...
...not to mention, Bisazza-tastic!
